YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated Government Affairs Manager (f/m/d) to support our Government Affairs Team in Germany.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Advocate for SAP’s strategic business development goals and public sector sales activities.
  • Represent SAP's political positions to key decision-makers, including federal and regional governments, Parliaments, and industry associations.
  • Support digital transformation agendas, with a focus on cloud adoption in the public sector, and position SAP during agenda-setting phases.
  • Assist in positioning SAP as a trusted advisor, innovation partner, and thought leader on technology topics.
  • Provide content for internal clients to influence key audiences within the public sector.
  • Proactively engage and build strong relationships with relevant representatives of global, regional, and local governmental bodies.
  • Map, maintain, and leverage our extensive government networks.
  • Work as a trusted advisor to public sector stakeholders, anticipating and identifying policies and regulations that impact the company, and leveraging political and social developments to create value for the SAP brand.
  • Contribute to policy strategies that support SAP’s business model.

YOUR PROFILE

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in government affairs, policy consulting, public policy, industry associations, thought leadership, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with executives and developing communication strategies at the senior level.
  • A strong, reliable network in political Berlin is essential.
  • Experience with the public sector and/or regulated industries (e.g., energy, banking).
  • Basic Cloud and AI-knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong storytelling, speechwriting, and editing skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to adapt quickly.
  • Master’s degree in technology, legal studies, politics, economics, or a related field.
