YOUR FUTURE ROLE

The Executive Protection Senior Specialist will manage and execute day to day operations to ensure the physical safety and security of SAP Board Members and their families, which may have a high complexity of travel, event and life safety.

  • Manage detailed programs related to the efficiency of the financial, operational and overall compliance of the organization. Seek to highlight ways to improve the effectiveness of the organization and its processes.
  • Possess a good working knowledge and understanding of their industry and identify and collect key market information/trends and apply to the organization/processes.
  • Manage and execute day to day delivery of multiple projects up and down the organization.
  • Manage relationships often with global, regional and local senior management plus outside service providers and business partners.
  • Manager of processes and interfaces across organizational boundaries inside and outside of Executive Protection management that relate to area of responsibility.
  • Seek to drive operational excellence and quality assurance by providing best practices, problem solving, and guidance within his / her area of responsibility.
  • Serve as liaison to executive management / provide reports / champion internal goals and manage KPI's.
  • Conduct performance reviews and people management, where appropriate.
  • Manage and implement main strategy for the organization
  • Manage the day to day tactical and operational side of the business in the area of responsibility

You will manage day to day Board member and board office engagement, knowledge management and quality assurance. Plan, coordinate, and ensure personal protection at facilities, residences, off-site events, on travels and during ground and air transportation. Recommend the procurement and installation of security equipment and conducting risk assessments for the board and their families and personnel who require protection.

The Executive Protection Senior Specialist will maintain the highest level of professionalism in all activities to represent the organization internally and externally, while serving as a trusted advisor for the board members and their offices.

Transfer and Travel Security

  • Conduct pre-travel threat analyses and security assessments to ensure safety measures are in place.
  • Plan safe itineraries, including primary and alternative routes, while reviewing emergency rendezvous points like police stations and hospitals.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, security services, and embassies for enhanced security during international travel.
  • Ensure transportation safety through the use of armoured or unarmoured vehicles, and provide discreet support.
  • Develop safe transfer routes, considering traffic conditions and potential hazards, with a focus on rapid emergency response

Event Security

  • Carrying out security checks and advance visits to the venues.
  • Working with event managers and on-site security services.
  • Identification of potential sources of danger at events with other high-level personalities.
  • Implementation of emergency plans and evacuation strategies.

Support in the daily business

  • Protect board members during meetings, public appearances, and business activities.
  • Discrete monitoring and safeguarding of personal security during the day-to-day process.
  • Support in logistics, such as vehicle coordination and time management.
  • Behave according the office security concept.

Family Safety

  • Family safety measures involve risk assessments, protective home measures, discreet accompaniment during public activities, security training for family members, ongoing threat analysis from various sources, and the use of protective intelligence to identify hazards in real time

Digital Personal Protection

  • Basic knowledge of digital personal protection
  • Training in cyber hygiene for boards and their families (e.g. strong passwords, detection of phishing attempts).

Object Protection

  • Knowledge of safeguarding of residences and offices through access controls, surveillance systems, etc.
  • Managing regular checks of the safety devices for functionality and timeliness.

These tasks require high professionalism, flexibility and the ability to work discreetly in the background. The combination of personal protection and digital security is essential for a holistic protection concept. Also of importance is to maintain close relationship with law enforcement and emergency responders, maintain plans and engage as required in crisis response within the area of responsibility and work as directed by manager.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 5+ years’ experience in security industry, personal protection or equivalent (military, law enforcement, etc.)
  • 3 years of direct experience in the majority of ”Job Description” and “Competencies and Skills” above.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Fluency in German and English languages
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
