Domain Advisor

Our Domain Advisor is the domain/industry go-to specialist on Supply Chain Planning owning the go-to-market strategy and execution for a given (set of) industrie(s) based on deep knowledge on the Supply Chain domain, relevant industry trends and competitive landscape. The domain advisor spends the majority of time on strategic pursuits and develops best practice assets, processes, demand initatives and sales plays. The domain advisor is primarily reponsible for pipeline growth, market development, strategic pursuits and ensuring cross-functional alignment on the growth plan with adjacent SAP teams and partners.

Accountability

  • Responsible for growth in the Supply Chain Planning domain
  • Sales strategy on strategic pursuits
  • Coaches sales teams
  • Oversee the creation of best practise assets (POV, demo, discovery process, etc)
  • Ensures delivery of assets across a cross-functional team
  • Ensures business critical & innovative results
  • Ensures that goals and milestones are met and approved budgets are managed appropriately
  • Manages escalation appropriately
  • Builds strategic partnerships with key decision makers in customer & partner organization

Complexity

  • Takes ownership over the growth of the Supply Chain Planning domain in a matrix organisation
  • Oversees the most complex, strategically important pursuits
  • Owns executive client relationships

Experience

  • 8 - 10 years of relevant professional experience in the Supply Chain Planning domain/industry
  • Executive presence in commercial organisation
  • Managemenet consulting, value based selling

Communication

  • Represents SAP to customers
  • Finds common ground for cooperation within matrix organistaion and cross-functional teams
  • Formulates clear GTM plans for growth
  • Communicates messages relevant for growth plan
  • Captures opinions and expectations of stakeholder and takes action

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

The Domain Advisor Expert has an in-depth understanding of the Supply Chain Planning domain, has deep industry knowledge and experience making him/her a trusted advisor for buying centers and CSCO/COO. Domain Expert takes ownership of key activities during the 'awareness and (re)consider' phases of the customer lifecycle. Responsible for demand generation, solution/LoB pipeline build strategies and development of scale initiatives resulting in increased solutions/LoB (Line of Business) pipeline, revenue and an elevated SAP leadership position in the solution/LoB segment. Executes solution/LoB segment functional business plans integrating functional and financial objectives. In addition, takes ownership on strategic pursuits alongside the sales team the 'evaluate and select' phases of the lifecycle, extending the expertise of the team.

Tasks: Provide standardized approaches for value-based sales activities for focus solutions/LoB. Enable the field and support roll-out of new field training; conduct in class training for specific solutions/ Lobs and contribute to e-learning content; coach and mentor internal customers on our products and solutions and how to position them with our clients. Provide on demand access for solution/LoB specific expertise; engage with customers on strategic pursuits.
