SAP Digital is a globally diverse organization focused on delivering scalable, high‑quality customer experiences across the Customer Value Journey. We bring together people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and strengths to help customers transform with confidence and purpose. We foster an inclusive culture where collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning are core to how we work.

Job Purpose

The Digital Architecture Advisor is a senior individual contributor who independently delivers architectural advisory services for SAP Cloud ERP and multi–line-of-business (LoB) transformations within the Corporate segment.

At this level, the role operates with limited supervision, owns architecture outcomes for multiple concurrent opportunities, and acts as a trusted advisor to customers, Partners, and internal SAP stakeholders. The Digital Architecture Advisor ensures architectural feasibility, scalability, and alignment with SAP reference architectures while enabling standardized, repeatable delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Area 1: Architecture Advisory & Deal Ownership

· Independently define, validate, and document target architectures and transformation roadmaps for SAP Cloud and multi‑LoB scenarios.

· Perform outside‑in landscape baselining and technical discovery using SAP-standard tools and automation frameworks.

· Develop and present architecture Points of View (PoVs) that articulate transformation options, risks, and dependencies in business-relevant terms.

· Act as an architecture quality gate for Corporate deals, ensuring readiness for Cloud Architecture Assessment (CAA) handover.

· Support complex opportunity progression by safeguarding architectural accuracy, completeness, and feasibility across the deal lifecycle.

Area 2: Partner Enablement & Cross‑Role Collaboration

· Serve as the architectural bridge between SAP Digital roles (DSA, DVA, CAA) and ecosystem Partners.

· Review and validate Partner‑proposed architectures, ensuring adherence to SAP reference architectures and Clean Core principles.

· Coach Partners and internal teams to strengthen architecture maturity and implementation readiness.

· Contribute architectural expertise to joint SAP–Partner engagements, fostering alignment and shared accountability.

Area 3: Standardization, Scalability & Cost‑to‑Serve

· Apply standardized frameworks, templates, and predefined architectures to enable repeatable delivery at volume.

· Leverage tools such as SAP Signavio, LeanIX, EA Accelerator, and CLAT to create scalable and data‑driven deliverables.

· Contribute to cost‑to‑serve containment by reducing manual effort, reusing assets, and supporting automation of architecture baselining and documentation.

· Actively share knowledge, patterns, and best practices within the Digital Architecture Advisor community.

Area 4: AI & Innovation Enablement

· Lead or co‑lead AI Discovery Workshops (AIDWs) for eligible Corporate and multi‑LoB opportunities.

· Identify feasible Business AI use cases and align them with the customer’s target architecture and transformation roadmap.

· Ensure AI scenarios are technically viable, scalable, and aligned with SAP’s AI strategy and governance models.

· Translate innovation topics into practical, architecture‑driven recommendations that support deal and transformation outcomes.

Experience and Skills

Professional Experience

· Typically 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, presales, technology consulting, or comparable customer‑facing roles.

· Proven track record delivering SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public and/or Private Edition), RISE with SAP, and multi‑LoB architectures.

· Experience handling multiple parallel opportunities with high architectural complexity and senior stakeholder exposure.

Technical & Functional Skills

· Strong expertise in target architecture design, landscape modernization, and transformation roadmap development.

· Hands‑on experience with SAP architecture and assessment tools (e.g. Signavio, LeanIX, EA Accelerator).

· Solid understanding of integration patterns, cloud operating models, security considerations, and Clean Core principles.

· Working knowledge of SAP Business AI capabilities and architectural prerequisites.

Soft Skills & Ways of Working

· Demonstrated executive communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics in clear, inclusive, and outcome‑focused language.

· Strong collaboration mindset, contributing as a senior peer within cross‑functional virtual account teams.

· High level of autonomy, accountability, and prioritization skills in a digital, fast‑paced environment.

· Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Education & Languages

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.

· Architecture or cloud certifications (e.g. TOGAF or equivalent) are an advantage.

· Business‑fluent English required; additional languages (like Dutch) are a plus.
