What you’ll build:

Join our Central Development & Operations (DevOps) team for the SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) as a DevOps Engineer . In this role, you will assist in maintaining the reliability and performance of SAP Cloud ALM. Working in the EMEA time zone, you'll support daily operations involving incident management, resource consumption management, and service level management. You'll collaborate with different teams to develop solutions and assist in automating DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) processes.

You'll contribute to the management of best practices, tooling, and processes using AI frameworks and support Development/Operations (DevOps) and SRE initiatives alongside MoD’s @ CALM. Your efforts will help ensure seamless operations and improve SAP Cloud ALM's reliability across markets. You’ll also be part of fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within project teams. What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant practical/ internship experience in SAP cloud DevOps or SRE for cloud-based SaaS products.
• Basic skills in system administration, networking, security, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting; basic programming or scripting with languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (Cloud Foundry), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and experience or interest in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to cloud-native development, CI/CD concepts, and an eagerness to learn about tools like SAP Cloud Orchestrator, SAP Automation Pilot, Jira, GitHub/Actions, and test automation.
• AI & Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with AI frameworks or willingness to work with BTP AI core services; experience using/learning monitoring and analysis tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, Elastic Search, AVS Kiosk, Splunk).
• Proactive mindset with basic problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach, including the ability or interest to anticipate customer needs. Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM platforms and the Deploy with Confidence (DwC) framework is a plus.
• Strong growth mindset, learning attitude, and communication skills in English (German is a plus).
