Purpose and Objective:
SAP Industries, Inc. seeks a Development Expert at our Newport Beach, CA location responsible for development focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team or responsible for complex product areas.
Expectations and Tasks:
Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving complex issues. Define deliverables and provide advice and recommendations on solutions that may affect future design decisions. Show technical, business and/or methodological leadership. Improve work methods and engineering skills in the team and beyond to establish state-of-the-art agile software engineering practices. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Easily move into new topics. Utilize the expert level and broad overall product and technical knowledge and act internally and externally as a subject matter expert. Leverage the current and in-depth knowledge of industry trends. If acting as Scrum Master, in the LEAN context, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Act as a 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments to the Development Team's progress.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
Full-stack SAP application development & extensibility using S/4 HANA, Classic & RESTful ABAP, BOPF, RAP/CAP, CDS, AMDP, HANA, SAP Gateway, SAP CRM, BTP, Cloud Identity, UI5/Fiori, and SAP Enhancement Framework;
SAP Integration Suite (CPI), including Cloud Connector;
Multiple integration scenarios including event-driven (MQTT and AMQP), API-led (OData, SOAP, and REST) and data level integration using SLT, Data Intelligence, and HANA SDI;
Architecture leadership designing complex enterprise systems using TAM, OOAD, and BPMN;
Designing OLAP and OLTP systems using in-memory, relational, and NoSQL databases, including SAP HANA, Cloud Data Lake, SAP BW and both real-time and batch integration patterns; and
SAP TPM, CRM, Settlement Management, FiCo, S/4, Supply Chain, MM, and SAP Sales & Distribution.
Experience must also involve at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following:
Java and Node JS; and
Integration scenarios including A2A, B2B, EDI, IDoc, X12, and EDIFACT.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $202,540 - $344,400. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $247,000 - $420,000. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
