What you'll do:

  • Translating business and customer requirements into technical requirements, models and software architecture

  • Be responsible for setting up collaboration with developers of the scrum team and contribute to all tasks of scrum team.

  • Collaborate and work with teams spread across geographies and time zones.

  • You will work on the entire lifecycle of development projects, both customer specific and SAP-defined. This includes the analysis and specification of the customer-specific business requirements as well as the design, implementation, maintenance and in case of cloud services operation of customer-specific solutions.

  • Align architecture with stakeholders regarding architectural or technical dependencies.

  • Coach team members to become proficient in development & quality processes, and technologies used in the team, thereby increasing expertise and productivity.

  • Support and advise product owner by ensuring technical and architectural feasibility, readiness, and compliance.

  • Continuously improve designs and implementations along with contributing significantly to the technical solutions.

  • Possess a DevOps mindset, including ownership of topics from development through to deployment in production.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement mindset in the people and showcase innovation in deliverables.

  • Trouble shoot critical production issues.

  • Adhere to the agile engineering practices and processes followed by the team. Own your code from ideation to development, across the full stack and through QA and support.

  • You will work on multiple topics and technologies with adequate enablement.

What you bring:

  • 14+ years of relevant experience in software development in skills listed below.

  • Strong programming background of/Experience S4 (ABAP/UI)

  • Process knowledge in Logistics, Procurement, Finance (SD, MM, FI)

  • Proven track record of building multiple applications in SAP S4 and BTP and cloud environment, leading and guiding development teams in the role of an architect.

  • Good understanding of cloud native architecture & development.

  • Hands-on experience in cloud-based development using BTP and Development in S4 using ABAP, CDS, ODATA, HANA Database, BOPF, RAP.

  • Application development experience with RAP programming model

  • Expertise in developing SAP UI5/Fiori Applications from scratch

  • Expertise in developing frontends in UI5/ Java Script/Type Script for complex backend functionalities

  • Expertise in developer tools like SAP Business Application Studio, VS Code etc

  • Experience with CAP Model

  • Expertise in building XML Views, and well versed with SAP SDK for Fiori Development

  • Experience in Frontend Development Technologies other than SAP UI5/Fiori is an advantage

  • Expertise in OData services, model bindings etc

  • Expertise in deployment/pipeline processes via Git, BTP.

  • Expert understanding of the UI frameworks, routing, models etc

  • Working experience with smart controls

  • Proficient in SAP Fiori elements application Development via annotation

  • Expertise in developing Unit Test Scripts like QUnit and Integrations Tests like OPA5/WDi5

  • Experience in design thinking, agile and test-driven development as well as in scrum methodology is needed

  • Proficient knowledge about SAP UX do's and don'ts

  • Expertise in BAS, WebIDE or Visual studio code

  • Knowledge on RAP and CDS, VDM and Data Modelling

  • Experience in using annotations on CDS and xml

  • UI5 application development using fiori elements and freestyle UI5

  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience in capturing customer’s UX requirements and converting them to mock-ups and wireframes

  • Experience in UX design and usage of tools such as Figma

  • Configuring fiori launchpad and/or build workzone

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills

  • Ability to understand customer business process requirements and translate them into software solutions

  • Excellent communication in English
