About the team:

Join a hands‑on engineering team building GenAI‑powered, agentic CI/CD tools and services that help database engineers ship features faster and more reliably. Our primary stakeholder is the SAP HANA Database Development organization; your work will accelerate and safeguard how features move from code to production.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust agentic AI CI/CD tooling—from prototypes to production—empowering database teams to release with greater confidence.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automations (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and integrate telemetry and guardrails (e.g., hallucination/cost/latency metrics, SLAs), quality and evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, produce high-quality technical documentation, and drive technical improvements across the team.
• Collaborate directly with engineers and stakeholders in the Database Development organization to gather requirements, prioritize feature requests, and measure impact.
• Stay current with advances in GenAI, agentic systems, and CI/CD best practices, and proactively share knowledge with the team.

What you bring

• University degree in computer science or a related technical field involving software engineering.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (internships and projects in addition to full-time roles are valued).
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid engineering fundamentals (version control, testing, code reviews, DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps); ability to design and optimize pipelines.
• Exposure to GenAI/LLM features and/or agentic system patterns; demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.
• Understanding of quality assurance and evaluation techniques for AI systems, including testing strategies for non-deterministic outputs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with databases and performance‑oriented engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
