Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Bellevue, WA

Work Model: Hybrid work model.

Purpose and Objective:

Concur Technologies, Inc. seeks a Data Scientist at our Bellevue, WA location responsible for developing Machine Learning (ML) solutions to solve image, text, and data classification and interpretation problems in the SAP Concur domain.

Expectations and Tasks:

Build, test and release services incorporating ML models. Set up data visualization using dashboard to visualize machine learning model performance. Communicate ML solutions’ performance to stakeholders. Stay up to date on the latest developments in tools and techniques in the fast-moving ML space. Describe user requirements and internal structures for products in development.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve one (1) year in the following:

• Programming languages including Python and SQL;

• Data visualization, including Tableau;

• Statistical analysis; and

• Data manipulation, including data pre-processing and data cleaning.

Must have experience in each of the following:

• Machine learning fundamentals and algorithms;

• Data science tools, including Jupyter and shell scripts; and

• Translate business problems to data science solutions.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $158,131 - $183,870. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $158,131 - $204,300. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
