What you`ll do :

As part of the Corporate Functions & Analytics unit within CPIT, our mission is to empower every SAP employee with the ability to make data-driven decisions. To achieve this, we are at the forefront of implementing SAP Business Data Cloud as Customer #0, while simultaneously exploring and deploying the transformative capabilities of Agentic AI. This involves automating processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and uncovering valuable insights across our organization.

We are seeking a talented Data & Analytics Platform Engineer to join our Data Product Modelling team. In this role, you will support the adoption of SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere and Databricks, build robust extensions, integrations, and automations on SAP BTP, and spearhead the implementation of Agentic AI use cases within our Analytics landscape. You will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into technical solutions, guiding architectural discussions, and driving end-to-end technical implementation. As a Data & Analytics Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Vision & Strategy: Partner with business stakeholders, and architects to define the technical vision and strategic roadmap for implementing a robust Data & Analytics Platform.
  • Architectural Design: Lead the design and architecture of scalable and secure solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and data infrastructure.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Actively participate in the technical implementation, taking ownership of developing and enhancing applications.
  • Proof of Concept & Prototyping: Drive the development of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and prototypes to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements throughout the design and implementation phases.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to comprehensive documentation and foster knowledge sharing within the team to promote best practices and collective growth.
  • Staying Current: Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as Data & Analytics Consultant or Engineer, with a focus on SAP Analytics Product Portfolio: Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Hana Cloud and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, Data Architecture
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python or similar
  • Codebase experience with GIT, Azure DevOps, GitHub
  • Knowledge in integration technology using REST API and JDBC
  • Experience in large scale platform operations and processes are a plus
  • Proficiency in Query tuning and performance optimization are a plus
  • Experience in Agentic AI implementation projects are a plus
  • Driven by a strong desire to learn, thoroughly investigate, and independently advance relevant topics.
  • Strong project management and communication skills are mandatory
