Controlling Expert (f/m/d) - Cloud TCO Center of Expertise

Summary & Role Information:

  • Understand key metrics of SAP’s Cloud delivery business, strategy and operations, its services, solutions and organization.
  • Lead strategic projects to provide transparency on SAP’s Sold Cloud Delivery Margin and Selling behaviors in the Cloud business.
  • Key Financial Business Partner for Regional and Local CFO’s: Highlighting key cost & margin drivers and allows best in class company steering by sold margin steering on most granular level.
  • Analyze processes and define process changes needed to implement consumed margin for C2C deals and provide consumable information for all Stakeholders
  • Alignment and coordination of various stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach that covers various use cases.
  • Closely work together with IES/ IT to implement business requirements arising from the new cost steering approach into a system-based solution and enable bridge between product architecture and financial views.
  • Roll out new dashboards within Controlling, Finance, Sales and Business and enable stakeholders for the new steering approach.
  • Self-Driven work on strategic topics and ad hoc request from Board and senior management around all facets of TCO and Sold Margin.
  • Understand and enable AI commercialization as well as consult senior management for critical decisions.

Experience (Role Requirements)

  • Strong analytical and conceptional skills and profound understanding of SAP’s key metrics of the Cloud business and SAP’s strategy and deep familiarity with SAP’s financial processes with strong focus on cloud
  • Work experience within Controlling/GCF of 5+ years including knowledge in Cloud delivery, deals, costs & selling
  • Strong expertise in building up system-based reporting and making it consumable for different stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and implementing data strategy with the ability to “think out of the box”.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present analyses to board and senior management and work under pressure and cope with tight deadlines
  • Strong innovative, conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge around Cloud TCO is a plus

About the Team:

Organizationally located within Global Controlling, the Cloud Controlling CoE team acts as trusted advisor for our Portfolio, Sales Regions, Managed Cloud and the Public Cloud organization as well as pricing and deal desk department. The team tasks comprise topics such as:

  • Cloud Total Cost of Operations
  • Cloud Revenue
  • Cloud Renewals
  • Cloud Booking

You will become part of the Floor Price & Product Costing Team within the Cloud TCO team. Our Team is responsible for financial success in the Cloud by providing holistic transparency and tools for steering in a standardized and automated way. We are part of the commercialization process and support big deals as well as provide transparency on our Cloud deal
