As a Commercial Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving SAP’s growth by engaging with customers and partners to identify business opportunities and deliver tailored solutions. You will be responsible for managing a defined territory, building strong relationships, and guiding prospects through the full sales cycle using a digital-first approach. This role combines strategic thinking and execution, leveraging SAP’s ecosystem and technologies to generate pipeline, close deals, and deliver exceptional customer value.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Commercial Sales Representative, some of your responsibilities will be:
- Actively leverage cutting-edge technologies to ensure compelling customer interactions, delivering volume, value, and velocity in the assigned territory
- Collaborate with Digital Hub resources (Solution Advisory, Deal Strategy, Digital Assets, etc.) to deliver high-value outcomes at scale
- Partner with Partner Business Managers to build and execute territory and partner growth plans
- Identify and drive new business opportunities through innovative sales and business development approaches
- Coach and support partner sales teams on complex software deals, including value positioning, ROI, and business case development
- Work closely with Sales Development Executives to build pipeline and progress prospects through the customer journey
- Leverage all SAP sales channels (SAP Store, partners, direct sales) to maximize revenue and customer experience
- Proactively identify challenges and contribute to solution development
- Use data-driven insights to guide partners on product positioning and timing
- Ensure alignment with Indirect Channel Management and collaborate with specialized sales roles
- Monitor and optimize the use of SAP presales and partner resources
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance and take corrective action when needed
Experience and Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in sales, business development, or enterprise software environments (approximately 3+ years preferred)
- Business fluency in English required
- Ability to collaborate effectively with SAP partners in indirect sales models
- Experience with ERP solutions is preferable
- Strong understanding of industry operating models and/or enterprise software solutions
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (SaaS, DaaS, PaaS) in B2B environments
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Passion for technology sales and customer engagement
- Strong learning mindset and drive to make an impact
- High energy, team-oriented, self-starter with a results-driven mindset
