What you'll do

As a member of the SAP Ariba Consulting organization, the Business Process Consultant supports customers in transforming their procurement processes through the implementation and adoption of SAP Ariba Cloud solutions. The role focuses on applying procurement and business process knowledge, together with growing solution expertise, to contribute to high‑quality project delivery and successful customer adoption.

The Business Process Consultant brings strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn, operating effectively in dynamic project environments. With guidance from more senior consultants, the role contributes to delivering reliable outcomes and consistent customer value.

The consultant supports customer project activities across the implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design support, configuration activities, testing, and customer enablement. Exposure to commercial and delivery aspects of consulting engagements helps build a solid foundation for future growth within SAP Consulting.

Business Process Consulting

  • Support customers throughout the lifecycle of SAP Ariba implementations.

  • Contribute to solution design activities, leveraging SAP Ariba best practices.

  • Assist in documenting business processes, requirements, and functional designs.

  • Support customer workshops and meetings with preparation, follow‑ups, and documentation.

  • Build positive working relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams.

  • Apply industry and business understanding to support solution recommendations.

  • Communicate effectively with customer project teams, functional and technical stakeholders.

  • Make sound decisions within own scope, escalating when appropriate.

Project Support

  • Support one or more workstreams under guidance from senior consultants.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and SAP internal teams for assigned tasks.

  • Contribute to status reporting and project documentation.

  • Identify potential risks or issues and proactively raise them to project leads.

  • Support testing, cutover preparation, and user enablement activities.

What You Bring

SAP Ariba & Solution Knowledge

  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn SAP Ariba solutions and procurement processes.

  • Basic understanding of end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay processes.

  • Interest in building solution and industry knowledge through training and hands‑on experience.

  • Ability to structure information and contribute to clear solution documentation.

  • Strong motivation for continuous learning and professional growth.

Communication

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to explain concepts in a structured and understandable way.

  • Openness to feedback and improvement.

  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Teamwork

  • Collaborative mindset and proactive attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and multicultural teams.

  • Willingness to take initiative within assigned responsibilities.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement consulting, business process consulting, or related roles.

  • Basic knowledge of procurement operations and/or e‑procurement tools.

  • First experience supporting workshops and customer interactions.

  • Analytical mindset with problem‑solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel in Europe (up to 30–40%).

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to SAP Ariba and/or SAP ERP (MM, SRM, S/4HANA).

  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Experience working in international or matrix organizations.

  • Additional European languages (French, German, etc.).
