What you'll do

Summary:
We are looking for a (Associate) Cloud-Native Developer (f/m/d) to join our team in owning and shaping the future of our product SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing (also called OPPS). Our customers can use this solution in their sales channel applications to calculate the sales prices. OPPS is a Cloud-native Cloud service based on SAP BTP.

The Role:
• Be responsible for the entire development cycle (gather requirements, create designs, develop, adhere to product standards and technical guidelines, deliver) within a test-driven and agile environment
• Develop and enhance automated tests while proactively monitoring and improving service performance and security
• Investigate, analyse and resolve issues in existing and new code
• Continuously work on improving the quality of the product
• Have knowledge on building highly available, secure and scalable public cloud products
• Support product operations including participating in on-duty support shifts for developers

What you bring:
• University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or first experience in object oriented development + SQL.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, Node.JS, ABAP as well as knowledge and experience in cloud-native paradigms and container technologies (Cloud foundry, Docker, K8S).
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices, automation environments, and tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with debugging and monitoring distributed systems with tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.
• Experience with SAP BTP and HANA Cloud.
• You possess a strong ability to quickly learn new technologies, excellent communication skills, and are results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of independent work as well as teamwork.
• Fluent English language skills, written and spoken.

You will work as a part of a highly motivated team located in St. Ingbert (Germany).
Within the area of Consumer Industries as part of the CX unit, we build a public cloud solution that helps our customers to ensure consistent price calculation in their sales channel applications. We are working closely together with a development team in Bangalore, applying agile development practices like pair programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration and delivery
