Company Description

Job Description

Intelligent Operations | CIS FDE Technology & Operations

What you'll build

You will build Intelligent Operations from the ground up — defining how AI-native deployments are governed, monitored, and kept healthy after go-live.

  • Own the handover framework for engagements transitioning from delivery to production, defining what "production-ready" means before your team takes ownership.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and incident response capability for deployed AI solutions so SLA commitments are met by design.
  • Establish AI quality assurance practices in production — drift detection, benchmarking, guardrails validation, and retraining triggers for LLM and agentic systems.
  • Define best practices for production security, data boundaries, and compliance across customer engagements, and build self-healing capabilities into the operational model.
  • Design the operational model to scale — tooling, automation, and partner integration so every new go-live builds on what came before.
  • Work with the Knowledge & IP team to feed operational learnings back into the delivery lifecycle so each collaboration starts stronger.

What you bring

You are a production operations expert who keeps AI-native solutions running in enterprise environments where uptime, data boundaries, and service level agreements (SLAs) are non-negotiable.

  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Model (LLM)-based systems, agentic workflows, observability, and incident management in cloud production environments.
  • Ability to detect drift in agentic application behaviour and build the monitoring frameworks, playbooks, and operational standards a growing team can follow.
  • Deep experience with AI quality assurance in production — drift detection, performance benchmarking, guardrails validation, and retraining triggers for LLM and agentic systems.
  • Background in regulated or enterprise-grade settings where application security, data boundaries, compliance, and operational governance are foundational requirements.
  • Track record designing scalable operational models using tooling, automation, CI/CD practices, and partner integration across multiple customer engagements.
  • Degree not required for this role.

We also look for people who think strategically, understand the business, and can bring others along with them — combining influencing skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to work through complex problems confidently.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and advancing adoption of AI practices within their teams.

Where you belong

Technology & Operations is the engineering backbone of CIS Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), ensuring quality, security, and lasting impact across AI engagements for SAP's industry customers. You will position in the Intelligent Operations pillar — the part of the team that owns what happens after go-live. You will mentor engineers, set operational standards, and build the technical capabilities of a team being assembled now. The role spans FDE squads and hubs globally, external delivery partners, and direct customer interaction when production demands it — based at SAP Labs India Innovation Park in Devanahalli, Bangalore.
