The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 2000 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and business applications. Most recently, SAP Labs Bulgaria expanded in the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. What you will do

You will be part of a 24/7 HANA Cloud Operations team responsible for monitoring SAP cloud solutions. Your immediate action will be to restore availability in case of service disruption or degradation. As a HANA Cloud Operations Engineer, you will drive customer communication and ongoing investigation in collaboration with internal development teams. As part of our ITIL framework, you will be responsible for ongoing escalation and bridge calls with the affected Line of Businesses until service restoration is provided. You will also be actively involved in post-incident continuous improvement activities as part of problem management and execute maintenance activities. The team you will join operates multiple products deployed on different infrastructures and hyperscalers. Therefore, your agility and ability to proactively learn and adapt will be key to your success.

This role requires 24/7 shifts including weekends and night shift work.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
• Troubleshooting and incident analysis

• Proactive system monitoring and end to end service operations
• Uphold SLA and Team KPIs
• Consistently drive root cause analysis & identify areas of improvement • Actively participate in continuous optimization of already existing procedures and processes • Onboarding of new services & processes


What you bring

• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems throughout the whole technology stack
• Experience and knowledge in Cloud technologies and Cloud Services (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure)
• Database Administration skills (MySQL, transactional databases) and experience working in Unix/Linux environments

Soft Skills

• Excellent team player, self-motivated, passionate, and highly driven
• Experience working with tight deadlines. under pressure and working efficiently in emergency situations
• Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and pro-active working attitude, as well as a desire to work in fast changing environment, acquiring and sharing knowledge and improving processes

• Good communication and presentation skills, fluency in English (written and verbal)

Advantages

• Essential knowledge in cloud platforms, cloud infrastructures and cloud technologies
• Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems, databases
• Knowledge of container solutions such as Kubernetes & Docker

• Basic understanding with monitoring solutions, such as Grafana, Kibana, Dynatrace
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and related processes

Technology & Innovation Cloud Operations is a global organization spread in several locations like Germany, Canada, India, China and Bulgaria. In Sofia, we have our One Operations Center where we execute our mission critical activities. The position is part of the organization in Sofia, where we support different units like Analytics and Intelligent Technologies, HANA Cloud, Database Operations and Core Cloud Operations. These units are responsible for operating SAP Coud solutions on SAP's Business Technology Platform. The team works shoulder to shoulder with the Development units that develop these solutions to ensure best-in-class cloud service through safeguarding high availability
