An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager with a Chemical Process Plant background. As the Engineering Manager you will lead and play a pivotal role in forming and developing a team to drive the delivery of cutting-edge nuclear facilities in the manufacture of nuclear fuel.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our business and. As the Engineering Manager you will be leading and developing a team, collaborating and working with customers and partners; fully focussing on driving the delivery of the design for a new nuclear facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in the design and development of the structure for an organisation dedicated to the manufacture of nuclear fuel and support the delivery of the organisation
  • Proactively aid engineering teams in developing appropriate solutions and ensuring all relevant options are considered.
  • Ensure that efficient solutions are reached that comply with all legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of engineering excellence.
  • Promote a pragmatic blend of innovative approaches and tried-and-tested methods to aid in the delivery of a facility that is demonstrably safe.
  • Maintain a constant focus on safety at all times, ensuring that all engineering solutions prioritise safety and compliance.

Position Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in the nuclear industry or a related safety critical field.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements and compliance standards in the nuclear sector.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.

Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
