Position Summary:
As a Stress and Lifing Technical Specialist, you will provide significant depth of expertise in Mechanical Technology which will be utilized in the investigation, analysis and resolution of specified problems, such as those that are raised on concessions, and in assisting to define the technical strategy in the company. You will also support new product development and lifing activities.
What you will be doing:
- Perform structural analysis, fatigue lifing, and crack propagation calculations of engine components, assessing non-conforming hardware against engineering acceptance criteria.
- Participate in the mentoring and training of junior analysts.
- Participate as an auditor in technical reviews of analytical results.
- Support standardization and documentation of analysis methods.
- Serve as a point person for lifing engineers for stress related questions
- Possess the ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment, with a sense of urgency, but without giving up quality
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR
- Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR
- PhD in Engineering
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred:
- 8 or more years of hands-on experience in conducting mechanical integrity, stress and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical models
- Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters
- Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks
- Ability to support improvements to analysis and lifing methods.
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization

Pay ranges for remote employees are based on the state where the employee resides and may vary from the posted range.
$122,741 - $199,454-Annually
