Job Description

Job Title: Technical Delivery Manager
Salary: £50,000- £55,000 DOE
Location: Home/Field Based

We’re Pod – one of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, trusted by over 250,000 customers and powering more than 5 million miles every single day. But behind the numbers is a team of passionate people working together to shape a smarter, more sustainable future.

We started off in 2009 as Pod Point, helping people make the switch to electric as EVs began to hit the road. Today, we’re leading the way into a smarter energy future. As part of the EDF family – the UK’s biggest generator of zero-carbon electricity – we have the strength and stability to grow for the future.
And we’ve started that growth already. In 2026, we welcomed EO Charging into the Pod family, bringing together Pod’s strengths in home, workplace, public and smart charging with EO’s specialist fleet and depot charging technology. The acquisition significantly expands our commercial fleet and energy management capabilities. Together, Pod and EO are helping logistics, transport and operational fleet customers electrify at scale, optimise charging performance and make better use of existing grid capacity.
Pod is the next evolution of Pod Point. As electrification becomes everyday, Pod is here to help build a brighter future for society by managing the flow of energy, making it affordable, accessible, and for the benefit of everyone. With 250,000 customers already trusting us to be at the heart of their EV life, we see Pod playing a leading role in the UK’s increasingly electrified future. Our focus is on powering not just homes and vehicles, but local communities and social progress.

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager who thrives on ownership and wants to see the real-world impact of their work. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering critical EV infrastructure across the UK, working with great people and taking projects from concept through to completion. If you enjoy solving problems, leading from the front, and being part of a fast-moving, purpose-driven team, you will really succeed here.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Conduct Site Assessments - You’ll carry out pre-site surveys to assess feasibility, readiness, and identify any risks or constraints before work begins
  • Lead Construction to Commissioning - you’ll oversee electrical works, ensure accurate documentation, and drive projects through to successful commissioning while meeting all technical standards
  • Manage Stakeholder Communication - you’ll act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and site owners, providing clear updates, progress reports, and proactive risk insights
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety - you’ll champion health, safety, and regulatory standards across all sites, maintaining a strong culture of compliance at every stage
  • Drive RAMs Adherence - you’ll ensure full understanding and compliance with Risk Assessment Method Statements by scheduling, assigning, and overseeing tasks for site operatives
  • Ensure Safety and Quality Standards - you’ll champion HSE best practice across all sites, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and internal quality expectations
  • Drive Project Planning and Coordination-You’ll take the lead on project planning, ensuring all timelines, resources, and dependencies are clearly mapped and aligned to deliver efficient and successful outcomes across every site
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks - Proactively identify potential project risks and challenges, implementing practical solutions to minimise disruption and keep delivery on track.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven delivery experience - Strong track record of delivering Fix and Commission projects from initiation to completion
  • Multi-site project management - Confidence managing multiple sites and timelines simultaneously while maintaining quality and control
  • Technical expertise - Solid grounding in construction and electrical systems, including isolation and commissioning
  • Regulatory knowledge - Strong understanding of CDM 2015, RAMS, and site safety practices
  • Communication skills - Ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and site teams, ensuring alignment and clarity
  • Attention to detail - A sharp eye for documentation, accuracy, and reporting
  • Resilience and organisation - Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • Gold or Black ECS card.
