Scrum Product Owner
About the role
At NFU Mutual, you’ll join the pricing workstream within our major transformation programme, helping to bring an important Scrum Product Owner capability into the business. Working across pricing, technology and delivery, you’ll take genuine ownership of your scrum team’s backlog and help ensure our pricing capability continues to work effectively as insurance products move to a new policy administration environment.
You’ll shape, define and prioritise the backlog on behalf of the business, turning complex requirements into clear user stories and making sure planned changes have a strong business justification. By assessing the value and impact of features, you’ll help the team focus on the work that delivers the greatest benefit and supports effective price development and integration.
Collaboration will be central to the role. You’ll work with stakeholders and other squads to understand dependencies, communicate priorities and timescales, and keep delivery moving. You’ll provide clear updates on backlog health, progress and team measures, and act as the first point of escalation when issues need to be resolved or unblocked.
You’ll also identify and coordinate continuous improvements that strengthen the quality, efficiency and control of change. Where system issues arise, you’ll support their resolution and help communicate the business impact clearly and promptly.
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced or developing Product Owner to make a visible contribution within a significant transformation programme, while building broader experience across insurance pricing and technology delivery.

About you
You’re a clear and confident communicator who can build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
