- Provide deep technical expertise in General Insurance, offering high‑quality insight across the business.
- Be part of a team who provide specialist support to help NFU Mutual customers identify, assess, and reduce risks across their businesses.
- Field based role with company car
About the role
Are you ready to take centre stage in a role that blends expertise, influence, and real impact across our regional network? As an RMS Sales Consultant, you'll be the driving force behind promoting and selling our Health & Safety products and consultancy services, empowering agencies, supporting our customers, and shaping best‑practice standards across the North East.
No two days will look the same. You'll be out in the field building your presence with agencies, hosting engaging discussions about RMS offerings, and ensuring our products are represented with confidence and clarity. You’ll become the go‑to specialist, guiding agents, supporting customer conversations, joining meetings where needed, and providing expert insight that helps customers make informed decisions.
This is a role where autonomy thrives. You’ll manage your own diary, balance time on the road with stakeholder engagement, and be measured on the impact you make across your region. With a well‑educated, receptive agency audience, you’ll be stepping into an environment primed for success, your reputation and relationships will be the key to unlocking exceptional regional performance.
Candidates will be covering the North East region from Nottinghamshire to Northumberland and will ideally be located in the York area.
About you
You’ll bring strong customer‑facing skills, sales instinct, and ideally some understanding of risk or Health & Safety (NEBOSH or similar is a bonus but this will be completed as part of the role). Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, confident, and ready to build lasting connections that help us deliver high‑quality, compliant, and customer‑focused solutions.
If you're motivated by variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to truly influence outcomes for agencies and customers alike, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact, both within RMS and across the wider organisation.
To join our team, you must also have.
- Proven initiative
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage your own time and diary effectively
