Job Description

Pricing Analyst - Customer Outcomes

  • Develop your data analysis, SQL/coding and pricing capability while working on customer outcomes activity with genuine business and customer impact.

  • Join a growing team where your analysis will help identify pricing concerns and support fair, evidence-based outcomes for customers.

  • Hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% based at our Stratford-upon-Avon office.

About the role

Working in Pricing at NFU Mutual feels genuinely different. With a strong focus on our customers, the team’s work has a meaningful impact, helping to ensure customers are charged fairly, pricing operates as intended and any emerging concerns are identified through data and robust analysis.

As a Pricing Analyst within our Customer Outcomes team, you’ll support customer outcomes monitoring and help assess the customer, financial and regulatory impacts of pricing-related issues and business change. You’ll gather and analyse pricing, customer and business data, identify trends, unusual patterns and areas requiring further investigation, and help ensure the information used in reporting is accurate and meaningful.

Where a pricing issue or discrepancy has occurred, you’ll support the analysis needed to understand which customers may have been affected and whether they have experienced financial detriment. This may include quantifying customer and business impacts, supporting refund calculations and preparing clear analytical evidence to inform risk, remediation and governance decisions.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Pricing, Underwriting, Remediation, IT and other areas of the business, communicating your findings clearly and helping stakeholders understand what the evidence means for both customers and the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing your technical capability, pricing knowledge and experience of pricing tools within a supportive team. You’ll undertake core customer outcomes and remediation activity with appropriate technical guidance, peer review and oversight as your confidence and independence grow.

About you

You'll bring an analytical and inquisitive approach, with the ability to work through complex information and understand what the data means for customers and the business. You'll be comfortable developing your technical knowledge, asking relevant questions and applying sound judgement when interpreting and presenting findings.

You'll be customer-focused and committed to delivering high-quality work. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with others, building relationships across the business and developing your pricing and analytical capability within a supportive team.

To join our team, you'll have:

  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills, with experience working with complex datasets.

  • Experience using SQL, coding or similar technical tools.

  • Exposure to pricing, pricing tools or the insurance industry, with a desire to develop your expertise further.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Critical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret information and draw conclusions.

  • A collaborative, customer-focused and accountable approach to your work.

At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique. We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.

We recognise that some candidates may experience barriers during the recruitment process. So, we encourage candidates to discuss any adjustments or accommodations they need to be the best they can be throughout our recruitment process.

We're proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a Race at Work and Women in Finance Charter signatory and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
