About the role

This role sits within the Motor Pricing team and focuses on developing and delivering street (customer) prices for our Motor products – Car, Van and Tractor.
You’ll manage a small team of Analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance. This includes analysing internal and external data, utilising pricing models, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including those in Data, Modelling, Risk Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, and Finance divisions.
You will also be accountable for:
- Designing, implementing and continuously improving Pricing models to ensure model integrity, accuracy and confidence
- Conducting scenario planning and impact assessments to understand the effect of pricing actions on conversion, retention and profitability
- Monitoring and analysing street price performance and driving value to the business
- Executing a dynamic control cycle, tracking and managing premium delivery, identifying issues, and driving continuous improvement
- Working effectively with Underwriting Performance, Modelling, Risk Pricing, Marketing and Sales to ensure delivery of agreed price strategies
- Delivering short‑term or one‑off projects as required
- Leading, managing, motivating and developing your direct reports, supporting their growth and ensuring clear expectations are set
This role will be aligned to our Stratford-upon-Avon offices – expectation is to spend 20% of your week here, with up 80% of your time working from home.
About you
You are a commercially minded and customer‑oriented Pricing professional with strong experience in the GI sector and a proven track record of delivering robust, data‑driven pricing recommendations.
Technical skills required:

- Pricing experience (any product, but Motor knowledge is highly preferred)
- Radar experience
- SQL capability
- Degree educated
It will also be highly advantageous if you can demonstrate experience within Price Optimisation, Underwriting and/or running & owning an account.
You’ll also have a strong problem‑solving mindset, and an inquisitive and analytical approach matched with the ability to present technical information to non‑technical audiences.
Becoming an effective communicator, with excellent stakeholder management will also be key, showcasing resilience under pressure, and maintaining accuracy and sound judgement.
As this position is a management role, you’ll also need to demonstrate experience of leading a team, or coaching / mentoring more junior employees.
