Injury Claims Handler
About the role
As an Injury Claims Handler, you’ll be investigating and negotiating settlement of injury claims, within your limits of authority and in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements, whilst preventing loss and fraud to deliver fair outcomes and a first-class customer service to our policyholders. You’ll compile, process and record information relating to potential claims, liaising with Agents, policyholders and third parties to ensure the facts of the claim are established in accordance with policies, regulatory requirements and SLAs.
As a role model in the department, you’ll check and provide feedback on claims files and processes, revising estimates as required, to ensure a proactive and consistent approach. You’ll also coach and guide your colleagues on more technical and complex claims, handling some referrals to improve the knowledge of less experienced team members and support effective decision making.
You may also deputise for Team Leaders and Senior Technicians as required.
About you
You’re an accomplished Injury Claims Handler with demonstrable experience of Public Liability and Employers Liability claims. You are able to confidently manage a portfolio of your own claims from end to end. You also have a track record of settling more complex and/or technical claims in an efficient manner.
