The Opportunity
Senior Instructional Designers are responsible for setting the vision for and creating the curriculum for our world-class apprenticeship programs in fulfilment of our ambition to build an alternative to university. We are looking for someone who is interested in designing instructional programs, and wants to create a massive impact by unlocking the potential of underrepresented talent through applied learning.
This role focuses on two business critical areas which reach across all of our programs: Durable Skills & Apprentice Manager Experience. Many education organizations focus on the technical skills needed for success in a program, but Multiverse recognizes that it takes more than technical skills to be successful. Durable Skills are the interpersonal, critical thinking, and self management capabilities that supercharge our performance in the workplace. They remain relevant across roles and functions as careers evolve. As a business, we are investing in designing resources to support apprentice development of these skills. We also know that Apprentice Managers are key to ensuring apprentice success and retention, as well as driving client outcomes such as deal expansion. This role will work closely with the Manager Experience team to design manager-focused resources which will enable managers to support and develop their apprentices while growing their own skills as people managers.

Specifically, you will...
Design best-in-class curriculum for Durable Skills and Apprentice Managers across Multiverse’s digital, data, and technical programs
Apply your knowledge of what works in higher education, corporate education or professional development to create a range of possibilities including live and asynchronous learning
Embed Multiverse’s applied learning approach in all our content
Design multiple modes of delivering content for each stage in the curriculum
Work with subject matter experts to ensure content is industry-aligned and equips apprentices and their managers to deliver business value
Bring your curiosity and deep knowledge of learning and learning technology to ensure that Multiverse is on the forefront of trends in highly effective learning
A Bit About You...
8+ years of experience in instructional design in higher education or a commercial environment.
2+ years of experience focused on organizational culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity, and/or training within a commercial business environment
Have a track record of excellence and impact
Are successful at working with senior stakeholders and influencing without authority
Communicate effectively and can have difficult conversations with peers and senior stakeholders
Are passionate about social and economic mobility and the goal of ensuring that all people, regardless of background, have access to the best opportunities.

The base salary for this position is $106,000 – $131,000.
