While Thailand is in the mature state of the renewable energy market, yet among the East Asia region, we are still growing. Mott MacDonald's Thailand office is established and served as East Asia region's hub of our renewable energy business. Our consultants have grown their expertise, and we have been receiving recognition from the market especially in commercial areas with continuous successful clients' projects.

We are looking for a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to work on exciting renewable energy projects – with the focus in solar PV projects. The services we provide for our clients are varied and include technical advisory and owners engineering support.

You will work on various renewable energy projects globally, focusing on Thailand and Asia Pacific. Responsibilities include delivering our work, supporting the growth of the renewable energy business, and improving the technical performance of the regional team.

We offer the following opportunities in our Thailand team:

  • Opportunity to work in iconic regional and international renewable energy projects, including both owners engineering and advisory services
  • Opportunity to work and contribute across disciplines & renewable energy technologies, in addition to solar PV technology (e.g. Wind and BESS)
  • Work as part of project management and project working teams, collaborating with wider Asia offices to ensure a collaborative approach to project delivery
  • Working closely with wider Mott MacDonald offices to develop, capture and deliver a pipeline of opportunities focused in our core business territories and sectors with our key Thai and International clients.
  • Progressive increased responsibilities include project management and involvement in business development activities

Candidate Specification:

  • Bachelor Degrees in engineering, preferably with a specialization in renewable energy, or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a preference for experience in renewable energy projects, though experience in Solar PV technology is positive.
  • Excellent command of English both oral and written (e.g. equivalent to TOEIC score of 800 or above, IELTS: 6.5)
  • Experience on Solar PV projects, with additional experience in other RE technologies (e.g. Wind, future fuels) or BESS is positive.
  • Project management skills and experience in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Can demonstrate the technical comprehension and capabilities to solve complex engineering issues.
  • Strong analytical, critical and numerical capabilities.
  • A good collaborator and be able to contribute and work in a team player setting.
  • Keen interest in renewable energy and have good understanding of trend and nature of business.
  • Willingness to travel as required by projects and business opportunities.
