Mott MacDonald is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager Advisory to join our dynamic team located in our Vancouver office. In this position, you will have the opportunity to manage projects across a range of sectors including transit and transportation, built environment, energy, and water. You will support growth initiatives through establishing and building client relationships, supporting the development of junior and intermediate staff, and contributing to Mott MacDonald’s commitment to excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, and working with technical and management groups in the delivery of a range of projects
- Taking accountability for the successful delivery of the project and empowering the project team to meet the objectives of the client
- Contributing to project delivery alongside engineers and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
- Coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met
- Participating in the preparation of the construction contract documents as well as administering the project specifications and contract during the execution of such projects
- Undertaking technical analysis and preparation of detailed technical and due diligence reports, requiring consolidation of input from a wide range of subject matter experts
- Review of construction and engineering cost and schedule estimates during project development as well as execution
- Supporting risk management for both internal and external mandates
- Leading the development of proposal responses and ensuring the responses align with the RFP requirements and the client's needs
- Supporting adherence to compliance with internal performance metrics and business management systems regarding quality, risk, and other compliance processes
- Maintaining industry knowledge of current standards and procedures concerning project management and other relevant technical disciplines
- Nurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative, and high-performing work environment, which supports the use of digital tools and technology and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture
We’re looking for an individual to join our team and invite applications from candidates with:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a post-secondary degree with relevant work experience
- PMP or related designation is an asset
- A Registered Professional Engineer in good standing is preferred, but not required
- Minimum 10-15 years of engineering and/or construction industry experience with a preference for heavy civil infrastructure (e.g. rail and transit, road and highway, bridges and civil structures, tunnelling, ports and terminals)
- Established relationships with infrastructure client organizations in the western Canadian market are preferred
- Well-developed writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of procurement models
- Experience supporting public sector authorities with strategic advice for the procurement and capital expenditure of their infrastructure programs and projects would be an asset
- Ability to build and foster positive working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients
- Desire and flexibility to travel

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
The expected salary range for this position is from $131,000 - 160,000.
