We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven Principal ICT Engineer to join our Buildings market in Singapore. ​

As a Principal ICT Engineer, you will be experienced in integrated smart building systems and services. In this role you will find opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to boutique and large scale local and international projects.

As the member of our team, you will have experience in a similar role and will be given a degree of autonomy and responsibility that suits a self-starting and self-reliant person who can handle the responsibility of delivering ICT/ELV design and supporting multi-discipline development, such as commercial, residential, hospital, hotel, leisure, mixed-use, critical facilities, data centers, airports, etc. You also will have opportunity to be involved in advisory work, providing advice and high-level consultancy services to clients from various industry.

What you will typically do:

  • Client and stakeholders management and relationships. Communicating with clients, manage clients’ requirements and expectation in alignment with the project’s contractual scope.
  • High-level and conceptual architecting of “state-of-the-art” integrated smart building/precinct systems and infrastructure, incl. client consulting, requirement management, conduct studies, options, gap analysis and solutioning.
  • Lead the design and development of ICT/ELV infrastructure and systems, including spaces and pathways, fiber and copper structured cabling system, communication networking systems, integrated BMS platform, integrated security systems, building systems and data integration.
  • Lead the development of the design package for tendering, incl. functional and performance specification, schedules, drawings, integration and interface management plan, interface coordination, integration and testing plan, etc.
  • Support the tendering process and supervise the implementation on behalf of client.
  • Fluent use of MS Visio, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Revu and other equivalent mark-up/engineering tools for drawing, report, and presentation production.

About You:

You will be a qualified Electrical, Electronics or ICT/Telecommunications Engineer or equivalent who is experienced in the design and specification of ICT/ELV systems and services within buildings. This role ideally suits someone with 7+ years of relevant experience and looking to join a growing team that holds technical excellence to high regard and offer an excellent opportunity for career progression.

To be the right person for the role, you will have:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Current and proven experience as ICT/ELV Engineer with design experience within Buildings, Data Centres, Mission Critical Facilities, Airports, Commercial, Transport sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience in:
    • Building ICT infrastructure (incl. customer-owned Outside Plant) – required
    • Network and communication systems – required
    • Integrated Building Management System – required
    • Building ELV Systems - required
    • ICT/ELV and Building Systems and Data Integration - required
    • Smart Building, IoT, Data Analytics – required
    • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning – highly desirable
    • Cybersecurity – highly desirable
    • Sustainability - highly desirable
    • ICT/ELV industry certification (e.g. credential from BICSI, WiredScore/SmartScore, EPI, CNET, CompTIA, UTI, Cisco, etc.) – highly desirable
    • Knowledge of Building Industry Standard and regulations
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, a team player and customer focused
