About the Role:

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior ELV Engineer to lead the design and delivery of ICT, ELV and Security systems across a range of built environment projects in the Middle East.

The role involves managing multidisciplinary coordination, producing high‑quality technical deliverables, and ensuring systems are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest professional standards from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development of ICT, ELV and Security systems from concept through to detailed design, tender documentation and construction support.
  • Undertake conceptual studies, including system strategies, plant and space requirements, and preparation of design principles and sketches.
  • Prepare design reports, calculations, specifications, cost estimates and tender documentation.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and international codes, standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinate designs with MEP, architectural, interior design, structural, utilities and specialist disciplines to achieve fully integrated solutions.
  • Supervise the production of drawings and technical documentation.
  • Propose cost‑effective and value‑engineered solutions without compromising performance or compliance.
  • Attend site meetings as required and provide technical support to resolve construction, coordination and progress issues.
  • Support the preparation of feasibility studies, engineer’s estimates and site acceptance documentation.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in ICT, ELV and Security systems design and delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software, including hands‑on experience with BIM and digital design tools.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively across multiple projects and teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and technical presentations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse teams.
  • High professional and ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, diligence, and accountability at all times.
  • A committed team player able to communicate effectively at all organisational levels.

Candidate Specification

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Membership of a recognised professional institution (or working towards membership).
  • Experience across a broad range of ICT, ELV and Security systems, including (but not limited to):
    • Structured cabling and active networks
    • IPTV and IP telephony
    • Wireless access points
    • Video surveillance and access control
    • Intercom and two‑way radio / TETRA systems
    • Building management systems (BMS)
    • Public address and voice alarm (PAVA)
    • Audio‑visual and smart building systems
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and BIM environments is advantageous.
