Job Description

Role Purpose

The Hong Kong Digital Lead is responsible for driving the adoption and supporting the implementation of digital processes, systems, solutions (including Moata products) across HK, and the broader APNA region when appropriate.

The HK Digital Lead will drive the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies putting our best foot forward, fostering a culture of innovation.

The role will identify opportunities for MM to provide our unique digital capabilities to both internal and external customers to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, add value and improve user experience.

A key goal will be to connect our clients in HK (internal and external) to the broader Digital Service Function team.

Providing support to Hong Kong market teams in developing their concepts, implementing them on a broader scale where appropriate, and promoting their innovations to the wider regional team.

Exploring beneficial collaborations with external partners, such as startups and tech vendors, for joint digital innovation implementation.

The role is a full-time role and will report to the Asia Pacific Adoption Manager.

Key Accountabilities

The Hong Kong Digital Lead will achieve this by:

  • Collaborating with fellow digital leaders and stakeholders to help them adopt best practice digital solutions that enable our service offering in an efficient and effective way.

  • Supporting the implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy, prioritising reporting on strategic direction, driving our adoption objectives.

  • Engaging with clients sectors and practices, driving an increase in win rates and revenue associated with our digital service offerings provided as part of or alongside our domain project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership: Lead the digital adoption function within HK, driving the strategic direction and ensuring alignment with Mott MacDonald's overall digital strategy, ensuring that employees have the motivation, remit, and knowledge to fully exploit existing project software and MM developed digital solutions.

  1. Digital Adoption collateral: document case studies and material to support Mott MacDonald team members to share and promote digital capabilities. Provide support for bids teams to document propose digital solutions.

  1. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business unit leaders and their business development teams, account leaders, IT teams and end-users, to understand their needs and scope digital offerings. Work closely with the Moata team to provide feedback on platform and product adoption barriers other adoption managers and across the Mott MacDonald leadership to align strategies and share best practices.

  1. Innovation: Champion the use of innovative digital technologies and processes within HK and the region. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, leveraging this knowledge to drive digital adoption.

  1. Performance Metrics: Monitor performance metrics for digital adoption, including a focus on digitally connecting with our clients. Regularly report on the outcomes of digital adoption efforts, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure maximum value is delivered.

  1. Commercialisation: With the regional leadership team, identify commercial opportunities for our digital solutions and service offerings and work with business development teams to define and implement monetisation plans. Support identification of opportunities, estimate level of effort and benefits through digital value plans.

  1. Industry engagement: attend events and conferences to promote Mott MacDonald’s digital solutions and prepare information for other Mott MacDonald team members to present on digital capabilities.

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in technology or business or built environment /domain related to the sectors that Mott MacDonald operate in.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of digital processes, systems, and their optimisation in a business context.

  • Proven experience in a digital adoption role, preferably in a technology or business development environment.

  • 5 to 15 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Track record of influencing positively, at level and across an organisation.

  • Progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide business improvement or change programmes, operating and influencing effectively across the organisation and within complex contexts.

  • Strategy and management consulting experience desirable.
