Your Opportunity

As the Country Manager for the Republic of Korea, you will play an active role in the growth and expansion of our business, by working closely with wider Mott MacDonald offices to develop, capture and deliver a pipeline of opportunities with our key Korean clients.

Your primary responsibilities will be to represent Mott MacDonald in the Republic of Korea through the strategic marketing, business development and partnering processes. Working closely with internal market and account leaders and external contacts, you will gather and assess market intelligence on upcoming business opportunities and formulate marketing strategies for the key business markets identified for Republic of Korea.

As part of your role, you will be required to support the markets through managing client relationships, leading and managing projects and where required. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Lead business planning by aligning Korea strategies with unit and regional business priorities
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key Korean clients for Mott MacDonald
  • Marketing and profile raising of Mott MacDonald services
  • Identification of prospects, developing pursuit plans and winning work with key Korean clientsp
  • Supporting proposals for opportunities across multiple markets (i.e. Energy, Transport, Built Environment etc.);
  • Managing delivery of projects, including advisory services and engineering studies, and leading project teams using either offshore or onshore resources to meet the expectations of clients
  • Overseeing project teams as Project Principal, monitoring adherence to business management systems, excellence in delivery and alignment with client requirements
  • Providing overall leadership and guidance for project teams and junior employees within the location
  • Liaising with wider Asia and regional offices to ensure a collaborative approach to proposals and project delivery
  • International travel will be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

  • More than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in engineering / infrastructure consultancy, construction or professional services industry.
  • Proven track record in P&L management, leading business operations and commercial acumen within the Korean market.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex, high-impact projects or initiatives while fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving measurable results.
  • Demonstrated people leadership capability to manage and develop high performing teams.
  • Outstanding client and stakeholder relationship management and business development experience.
  • Fluent in written and verbal Korean and English
