The Solution Architecture role, with a focus on Data & AI, as well as Infrastructure and Applications, is an exciting opportunity where you'll leverage business requirements to craft innovative technical solutions. You'll play a key role in the presales process, project planning, identifying risks and dependencies, and implementing solutions that align with customer goals. Plus, you'll build strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, enhancing satisfaction and creating exceptional experiences. Responsibilities

Understanding Customer/Partner Technical Environment

  • Dive deep into customer and partner insights from a diverse range of stakeholders to shape and execute impactful projects.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and adapt business models and solutions to create innovative strategies.

Architecture Design and Deployment

  • Utilize structured methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative to design and deploy cutting-edge architectures.
  • Document and communicate the value of your solutions, leading complex discussions to ensure alignment with customer goals.

Practice Development

  • Be a pioneer in generating and improving intellectual property.
  • Drive the re-use of valuable assets and contribute to both internal and external communities, fostering a culture of innovation.

Trusted Advisor

  • Build influential relationships with senior-level decision makers to address challenges and provide strategic direction.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft technologies to effectively communicate our mission and capabilities.

Thought Leadership

  • Lead virtual teams and share strategic insights to tackle customer and partner challenges.
  • Participate in external events and mentor colleagues, showcasing your deep industry knowledge and driving recognition for Microsoft solutions.

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

The successful candidate must have an active Security Check (SC) clearance or be able to obtain one as issued by the United Kingdom Security Vetting Unit (UKSV).

Note: To be eligible you must be a UK national or have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of five years.

You must also be legally authorised to work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
(Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND extensive experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND extensive experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • A number of years managing multiple projects or portfolios.
  • Proven experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • A number of years of technical sales/pre-sales experience.
  • Extensive experiences as a Data & Applications Solution Architect with a strong consulting element
  • Extensive and proven project management experience in a complex transformation program and in complex enterprise customers.
  • Proven people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
  • Technical or Professional Certification in Domain (e.g., Data).
  • Technical skills in the following:
    • Strong technical background on all Azure Infrastructure core services
    • Data Engineering and integration
    • Azure Data services
    • Oracle on Azure
    • Data Warehousing
    • Data Governance
    • DevOps and Automation knowledge such as Infrastructure as code and CI/CD
    • Data security
    • Python, Java
    • Azure API Management
    • Security
