Our Threat Protection strategy at Microsoft spans multiple products and services, providing state-of-the-art protection across the entire digital estate of Identity, Devices, Email, Apps, Code, and Data—on-premises, hybrid, and in the cloud—within a multi-platform, multi-cloud, and multi-stack environment. This comprehensive defense is driven by a Unified Threat Protection (SIEM + XDR) platform powered by GenAI.


Building on this foundation, We are seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft Defender XDR compete and technical pre-sale specialist to strengthen our cybersecurity efforts and enhance our organization's threat detection and response capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft's XDR suite and demonstrate expertise in managing advanced threat hunting and security operations.
We are looking for someone with experience in this domain and/or a competitive product(s) and can act as a deep subject matter expert to work alongside the field driving sales and adoption of the solution. This idea candidate should possess the passion to dive deep into the compete landscape, create white papers and present their findings to senior engineering leaders in the organization.

You'll secure pivotal deals, capture and act on customer feedback to refine our offerings and ensure an unparalleled customer and partner experience. Responsibilities

• You will be part of the Security Pre-Intent CxE team, focusing on the Defender XDR ecosystem. In this capacity, you will collaborate with various product workloads and teams to identify new opportunities for at-scale solutions, accelerate customer adoption, and maximize the impact of these offerings.


• A key responsibility is to address the competitive landscape and shape the customer perception of the Defender XDR suite. You will share your expertise with field teams, support new business opportunities, and drive sales and adoption for these essential security services.


• You will develop and deliver educational collateral, webinars, and other enablement resources that empower field teams to articulate the value and best practices of the Defender XDR suite. By gathering insights from the field, you will strategically analyze trends and challenges to refine and enhance these offerings, ensuring they align with evolving customer needs and broader business objectives. Additionally, you will identify key opportunities for innovation and long-term impact to drive the adoption and success of the Defender XDR suite.


• As a Security Pre-Intent CxE Team member, you will build relationships with engineering, product management, and security research groups. Through these partnerships, you will drive measurable product enhancements for the Defender XDR platform, and create scalable, repeatable processes that enable customers to fully realize the value of Microsoft’s security solutions.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of our Microsoft Defender XDR components (including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, etc.) and how they integrate to provide holistic threat protection or in-depth knowledge with leading threat protection solutions (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.)[SN1.1][JN1.2]


• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, attacker techniques, defense strategies), including experience with detection and response methodologies.


• Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, field sales, etc.) to align product capabilities with customer needs and market opportunities.


• Ability to conduct deep research and gain deep knowledge of new domains and competitive offerings, having the agility to acquire new domain expertise in a shifting and dynamic landscape of threat protection.


• Ability to create technical demos, proof-of-concepts, and collateral that effectively communicate product capabilities and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Role Requirements


• The candidate must have a solid technical sales background or extensive experience in field/customer-facing roles.


• Customer focused with experience working with Global 500 companies.


• Demonstrated passion for and ability to drive improvements in end-to-end customer experiences and the drive to dive deep into our competitors' solutions.


• Ability to act as a liaison between customers and development teams to ensure successful technical fulfillment of customer requirements


• Forward thinking and strategic, yet pragmatic and operationally savvy, with a commitment to a job well done

• Communicator – strong negotiation, organizational, presentation and writing skills. Ability to engage with Microsoft senior stakeholders and provide feedback and best practices.

Flexibility and adaptability will be essential to accommodate diverse schedules and maintain effective cross-regional coordination.
