Responsibilities

As a successful Regional Program Manager Security (ZTN), your success is measured by:

Service Delivery

  • Manage the portfolio of Zero Trust Network and other Datacenter Operations security projects for the regional field operations organization.

  • Manage the DCOps Infrastructure (ZTN) Growth Budget that drives OPEX and CAPEX requirements to support the ZTN requirements, infrastructure support to enable the implementation of security processes, and resource management within your region.

  • Collaborate with partners to assess long range plans, determine capacity, and resource plans for both project delivery and ongoing operational support.

  • Foster an understanding of the various stakeholders, their interests and needs to ensure the teams can sustain and embrace the changes through clear communications, engagement, and appropriate governance throughout the implementation of the various operational excellence programs.

  • Support a strategic vision and implementation plan for regional datacenter operations that will position the organization for future capacity and growth.

Program Management

  • Plan and execute the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects across Microsoft’s Datacenter portfolio.

  • Build project timelines, estimate of level of effort, manage milestones, and course correct projects to maintain overall schedule/cost/quality.

  • Orchestrate planning, communications, testing, and stakeholder management across multiple teams.

  • Ensure that any pending deliverables identified during the acceptance process are closed out or accepted by operations.

  • Coordinate with key points of contact to drive the procurement, installation, configuration, testing, and acceptance of IT infrastructure.

  • Manage deployment of technology upgrades to existing systems.

  • Provide leadership and direction in establishing security system roadmaps, staffing efficiencies, process improvements, and governance for DCOps strategy that will support our current and future growth.

Ongoing Program Improvement

  • Drive service delivery excellence through benchmarking across industry best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement in the administration and documentation of tools.

  • Follow standards and processes to ensure consistency in the delivery of projects, including effective coordination and alignment with regional stakeholders.

  • Establish data analytics to evaluate the process change efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes and drive ideas to completion.

  • Work with the Regional PMs, Security & Technology Shared Services PM, Datacenter Directors and their staff, and all field operations horizonal and vertical leaders to streamline our operations to ensure flawless service delivery to our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND Good years’ of experience in a production, 24x7 mission-critical service environment (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure).

  • At least Good years’ of experience in Program and Project management in large complex, cross-functional organizations.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate, openly communicate, present, and negotiate effectively across groups of various levels and disciplines, such as senior company leaders, engineers, suppliers, partners, government entities, technicians, customers, etc.
  • Experience in leading and influencing a diverse organization across multiple disciplines and platforms.
  • Experience in creating road maps for large projects to gain efficiency and proven experience in delivering to road map capabilities.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware (e.g., fiber trunks, CAT6, server racks, PDUs, etc.), TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, MPLS, Routing, Switching, DWDM, and SONET Data Communications Network
  • Awareness of IT Service Operations fundamentals and principles. (ITIL, MOF, OLA/SLA, CSI, etc.).
  • Previous experience with MS Cloud Services and Platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Excel Pivot tables, etc.).
  • Project or program management experience and certification(s) (e.g., PMI, etc.).
  • Previous experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Experience with reporting and data analysis systems & platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, PowerBI).
  • Practical knowledge of ITIL concepts and terminology – with focus on Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Delivery Management functions.
