Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Principal PM Manager - Regional IT/IAM Programs, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's dedicated online services.

As a CO+I DCPM, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities

As a successful Principal PM Manager - Regional IT/IAM Programs, your performance objectives will consist of the following:

  • Managing a team of Senior-level Individual Contributors that are experts in their field
  • Hands-on People Manager with a proven track record of leading intellectually capable PMs
  • Attract, grow, and develop talent with a Growth Mindset
  • Be empowered and accountable by modelling, coaching, and caring for your team
  • Analyse and interpret program data to provide recommendations and strategic recommendations for datacenter-related operations models, support, and implementation plans
  • Interpret customer requirements as they relate to standard operating procedures and drive parity between the two
  • Collaborate across internal groups, external suppliers, and customers
  • Document and improve processes around planning, implementation, operations, confidentiality, security, and compliance to ensure the work that is being done is securely, compliantly, efficiently, and per standards
  • Participate in technical communities to stay informed of best practices and changes within the broader discipline and share them with the organization
  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activities
  • Establish and enhance strong working relationships with partner organizations
  • Create and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on time delivery
  • Plan, manage, and communicate end-to-end project plans with stakeholders and teams
  • Perform day-to-day project check-in and updates to manage project delivery and quality
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution
  • Gather and provide feedback on lessons learned, best practices, and innovations on process/procedures and tools to improve efficiencies and productivity
  • Work with various Engineering, Operations, Electrical and Mechanical teams during project planning and execution
  • Learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant years of industry work experience
  • Significant years experience in developing and implementing programs in Datacenter Operations or related fields
  • Experience developing and presenting executive level presentations and reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM college degree or certification in IT with equivalent work experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
  • Significant years’ experience in leading a diverse, technical team.
  • Experience with Project and Program management in large complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Experience in Data Center Operations

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
