As an Account Technologist, you will provide technology guidance to clients and orchestrate the interaction between clients and Microsoft resources to drive new opportunities, demand generation, digital transformation and the mapping of industry/business scenarios to Microsoft solutions. This opportunity will allow you to gather insights into the client business and leverage existing architecture approaches to achieve Microsoft’s agreed commitments to clients.

Responsibilities

  • You will generate business insights based on data received from the customer and internal teams and from your knowledge of the capability of Microsoft products provide input into planning processes.
  • You will learn about the customer's security landscape and needs and understand the Microsoft Security Narrative and present it to the appropriate customer stakeholders together with technical experts from the extended team and drives resulting opportunity creation.
  • You will learn about the account strategy so you can assist in the creation of fundamental, technology roadmaps, outlining the customer's transformation journey and core wins, with help from others to ensure you are able to build technical engagement or enablement plan, captures baseline and drives envisioning.
  • You will help respond to opportunities presented by the customer, creates demand and report isolated problems or issues that the customer is experiencing as well as identify the right customer stakeholders for the technical teams in the Specialist Team Unit (STU), Customer Success Unit (CSU) and others to engage.
  • You will research customer organizations and connect with technical decision makers (TDMs) under guidance as well as help create stakeholder maps for accounts and determine a coverage plan.
  • You will provide support to help drive account planning for budgeting, quota attainment, consumption goals and customer consumption gaps to inform quarterly and fiscal objectives as you coordinate account teams and conducts forecasting and tracking of the business

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • 1+ year(s) technical consulting, consultative selling, business consulting, or related technical work or internship experience
    • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,
    • OR related field AND 2+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building or related technical/sales experience
    • OR equivalent experience
