Account Executive, Healthcare

Job Description

As part of Microsoft’s Healthcare Enterprise Account Team, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals dedicated to empowering NHS organisations in England. You’ll help them use Microsoft’s cloud and AI to improve outcomes, modernise care, and streamline operations—empowering clinical and nursing teams to work smarter, connect better, and deliver higher-quality care. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building trusted partnerships with NHS organisations across London and Kent. This role goes beyond traditional sales—it requires a consultative, purpose-driven approach that aligns customer needs with Microsoft’s technology and societal impact goals. You will orchestrate a diverse virtual team, engage senior stakeholders, and lead with empathy, insight, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Management
    • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using Microsoft tools and processes.
    • Lead account planning, stakeholder mapping, and opportunity development aligned to customer priorities.
  • Customer Engagement & Strategy

    • Lead strategic conversations with C-level stakeholders within NHS Trusts
    • Develop and maintain a multi-year digital transformation roadmap aligned to customer outcomes and national health priorities.
  • Virtual Team Sales Orchestration

    • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions across cloud, data, AI, and security.
    • Drive adoption of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and other industry-specific offerings.
  • Innovation & Impact

    • Identify opportunities for innovation in care delivery, patient engagement, and operational efficiency.
    • Champion co-innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept pilots with clinical and IT leaders.
    • Represent Microsoft at industry events, roundtables, and executive briefings.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Act as the voice of the customer internally, influencing product teams and marketing
    • Contribute to community best practices and mentor junior ATSs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated sales mindset - working to and achieveing company set targets, on a regular basis
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in technology sector

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, M365, Dynamics 365).
  • Familiarity with NHS procurement frameworks and digital maturity models (e.g., HIMSS, What Good Looks Like).
