Aquarist

Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY

Hours: Full time fully flexible, any 5 days out of 7

Contract Type: Permanent, salaried

Here at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort we are busy prepping for our 2026 season, and we are recruiting for an Aquarist to join our AWESOME SEA Life Team within our Deep Sea Adventure attraction!

As an Aquarist within our Deep Sea Adventure attraction, you will play a vital role in maintaining exceptional standards of animal husbandry across our displays, ensuring the health, welfare, and wellbeing of all creatures in our care. You will support the smooth daily operation of life support systems, uphold immaculate cleanliness across all areas, and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of displays in line with the wider attraction development plan. Working to agreed processes, you will ensure accurate record‑keeping, compliance with local legislative requirements, and alignment with health and safety regulations at all times.

In this hands‑on role, you will bring expertise as a marine specialist, supporting on matters relating to animal environments, display conditions, and operational challenges. You will work closely with the displays team to develop creative ideas, improve processes, and help deliver innovative display concepts. Engaging with visitors where appropriate, you will help enhance our guests experience of the attraction through positive, informative interactions.

You will also act as a key member of the operational team, participating in life support and intruder alarm call‑out duties as required, with responsibility as a designated key holder. You will collaborate with wider site teams and external specialists to resolve issues effectively and maintain the highest standards across the site. Your work will support both conservation‑focused initiatives and core brand values, helping to elevate the quality and impact of the attraction’s displays.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience gained through advanced studies or practical home aquarist background is essential
  • Working knowledge of aquatic life support systems and their maintenance is essential
  • Strong understanding of aquatic environments and the ability to identify and resolve environmental issues
  • Knowledge of animal husbandry, behaviour, and species acquisition is essential
  • Ability to create visually compelling displays using theming, lighting, and water movement
  • Practical experience supporting conservation or environmental impact‑reduction projects
  • Ability to resolve non‑routine problems collaboratively with internal teams or central resources
  • PADI Open Water and Dive Rescue certification is advantageous

About the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

We are looking for an Aquarist to join our AWESOME Deep Sea Adventure team at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to three awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
