What you'll bring to the team

Lead Technician - Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia

Responsibilities:

• 🏗️ Oversee all facility & building maintenance, keeping everything running safely and smoothly

• 🛠️ Lead, schedule, and develop the Technician Team, forecasting staffing needs and managing coverage

• 🔧 Manage vendors & trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, housekeeping, Triotec/Simex, and more)

• 🖥️ Own preventative maintenance & asset management using Facilitree software

• 🎢 Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot rides, attractions, and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize guest experience

• 💡 Handle hands-on repairs & operations, including lighting, painting, equipment maintenance, custodial oversight, and exhibit setup

• 📋 Ensure safety, compliance, inspections, and documentation, meeting all statutory and Merlin standards

• 🌟 Create a “guest-obsessed” culture, motivating and empowering the team through training, recognition, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

About You:

• 🎓 Education & experience blend: High School diploma/GED required; technical degree preferred; Bachelor’s a plus

• 🛠️ Technical leadership background: 1+ year supervising in a technical or themed environment (automation, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, networks, animation)

• 🎢 Hands-on maintenance pro: Experience maintaining rides, facilities, and a wide range of equipment

• ⚡ Thrives under pressure: Excels at multitasking, problem-solving, and delivering top-tier service in fast-paced environments

• 🌟 Natural leader with energy: Confident, approachable, guest-focused, and able to inspire teams with enthusiasm and drive
