If you're a skilled plumber who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to see the direct impact of your work on the guest experience, this could be the role for you.
Qualifications & Experience
What You'll Do
As a Facilities Plumber, you'll help keep the resort's water, drainage, and plumbing systems operating safely and efficiently.
Keep the Resort Flowing
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Work with water heaters, pumps, sinks, toilets, valves, backflow prevention devices, and related equipment.
Maintain water supply, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and irrigation systems throughout the resort.
Troubleshoot plumbing issues affecting attractions, restrooms, kitchens, restaurants, hotels, waterpark facilities, and administrative areas.
Perform routine inspections to identify leaks, blockages, equipment issues, and potential system failures.
Respond quickly to emergency plumbing calls to minimize operational downtime and guest impact.
Support a Safe, Reliable Resort
Maintain plumbing systems in accordance with applicable state and local plumbing codes and company standards.
Test and maintain backflow prevention assemblies and ensure required documentation is completed.
Follow all safety policies, environmental requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Identify potential problems before they become operational issues and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
Support water conservation and sustainability initiatives by monitoring usage and identifying inefficiencies.
Own Your Work
Receive, prioritize, complete, and close work orders through the resort's CMMS.
Accurately document labor hours, parts used, work performed, and follow-up requirements.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records.
Communicate job status, additional repair needs, and operational concerns to the appropriate Facilities leadership.
Be Part of the Team
Collaborate with Facilities Technicians, Electricians, HVAC Technicians, and other trades on cross-discipline repairs and projects.
Partner with departments such as Rides, Food & Beverage, and Hotels to minimize downtime and maintain a positive guest experience.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors when needed.
Participate in departmental meetings, training, shutdown maintenance projects, refurbishments, and assigned resort initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a skilled, dependable, and safety-minded plumber who enjoys hands-on work and can confidently troubleshoot problems in a complex operating environment.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, water distribution, drainage, and sanitary sewer systems.
Ability to safely diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, equipment, and infrastructure.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a diverse Facilities team.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Proficiency with standard plumbing tools and equipment.
Ability to use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document and manage work.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean/safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a licensed or journeyman plumber.
Experience in commercial, hospitality, resort, theme park, or similarly complex facilities.
Familiarity with Florida plumbing codes, safety regulations, and water quality standards.
Backflow prevention certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Experience with CMMS software and Microsoft Office.
Experience working with large-scale water distribution, sewer, irrigation, or waterpark systems.
What It's Like to Work Here
This isn't a typical plumbing job. You'll work across a dynamic resort environment that includes theme park attractions, hotels, restaurants, restrooms, waterpark facilities, and back-of-house operations.
You'll need to be comfortable with:
Working both indoors and outdoors throughout the resort.
Working in varying temperatures, including extreme heat and cold.
Working in wet, humid, dirty, dusty, and occasionally challenging environments.
Climbing stairs and ladders and working in elevated areas.
Working in confined spaces and around operating equipment.
Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds independently, with assistance or mechanical means for heavier loads.
Responding quickly and safely to emergency situations.
Working weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible shifts as required by resort operations.
Safety Comes First
Safety is at the foundation of everything we do. Every team member is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for themselves, their colleagues, and our guests.
You'll be expected to follow established safe-work procedures, applicable laws and company policies, and Lockout/Tagout requirements. You must only operate tools and equipment for which you have been properly trained and must promptly report incidents or safety concerns to your leader.
Why This Role Matters
A resort of this scale depends on the systems most guests never think about — until something isn't working.
Your work keeps water flowing, facilities operating, attractions running, and guest experiences on track.
Whether you're preventing a problem through routine maintenance, responding to an emergency, or helping bring a new project to life, your expertise makes a real difference every day.
If you're a plumber who enjoys variety, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to be part of a team that keeps one of Florida's most unique resorts running, come build something awesome with us.
