Facilities Technician - Electrician
Job Description
What you'll bring to the team
Facilities Electrician
Bring your electrical expertise to a place where safety, creativity, and fun come together.
At LEGOLAND, every day is different. Behind the scenes, our Technical Services team keeps the resort running safely, reliably, and smoothly for our guests and team members. As a Facilities Electrician, you’ll play a hands-on role in making that happen — from maintaining electrical systems throughout the resort to troubleshooting issues in guest areas, attractions, buildings, and support facilities.
This is an opportunity for a skilled electrician who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are exactly alike.
Qualifications & Experience
What You'll Do
As a Facilities Electrician, you’ll help ensure our electrical infrastructure is safe, dependable, and ready for operation every day.
Keep the Resort Running
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, panels, breakers, transformers, receptacles, motors, controls, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues affecting buildings, attractions, show elements, and resort infrastructure.
Maintain emergency lighting, exit signage, backup power systems, and other life-safety equipment.
Support electrical installations and modifications for special events, seasonal overlays, and operational initiatives.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Put Safety First
Conduct routine inspections throughout front-of-house and back-of-house areas to identify potential hazards, deficiencies, and code concerns.
Perform electrical work in accordance with applicable local, state, and national electrical codes and company standards.
Support electrical safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Own Your Work Orders
Respond to electrical work orders and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
Use our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document labor, materials, work performed, and resolutions.
Communicate job status, delays, and additional repair requirements with the Facilities Supervisor.
Work as One Team
Partner with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other Facilities trades on multi-discipline projects and repairs.
Work with vendors and contractors performing electrical work on-site, including quality checks and oversight.
Provide technical recommendations for electrical repairs, upgrades, replacements, and improvements.
Interact professionally with guests, fellow team members, leaders, vendors, and contractors.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a hands-on, safety-minded electrician who is comfortable solving problems, working independently, and adapting to changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial, facilities, or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safe work practices.
Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and reliability.
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on resort operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical trade school, apprenticeship, or technical certification.
Experience working in a theme park, resort, hospitality, large campus, or similarly complex facility.
Experience with low-voltage systems, controls, or show lighting.
Familiarity with emergency power systems and life-safety circuits.
CMMS experience.
Forklift or lift-equipment certification.
What It's Like to Work Here
This isn't a traditional electrical maintenance environment. You'll work throughout a vibrant resort — including guest-facing areas, back-of-house spaces, electrical rooms, rooftops, outdoor environments, and attraction infrastructure.
You'll need to be comfortable with:
Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights.
Working in confined and elevated spaces.
Exposure to noise, dust, heat, humidity, and other operational conditions.
Wearing required PPE, including gloves, eye and hearing protection, and fall protection.
Managing frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
Working extended hours, weekends, holidays, or emergency coverage when operationally required.
Lifting and carrying approximately 25–70 pounds.
Safety Is Our Foundation
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Every team member is responsible for protecting themselves, their colleagues, and our guests by following established safe-work procedures and applicable laws and policies.
You'll be expected to use only tools and equipment for which you've been properly trained, promptly report incidents to your leader, and participate in investigations when needed.
Why This Role Matters
Every light that turns on, every system that operates reliably, and every attraction that is ready for guests depends on the work happening behind the scenes.
As a Facilities Electrician, your expertise helps create the experience our guests came here to enjoy — safely and reliably.
If you're an experienced electrician who enjoys solving problems, working with a great team, and taking on the unique challenges of a world-class resort environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Come build something awesome with us.
