What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, and other building systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement practical, lasting solutions.
• Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and work orders accurately while meeting quality, compliance, and audit standards.
• Maintain projectors, displays, lighting, low-voltage equipment, and other attraction technology.
• Support attraction installations, exhibit setup and teardown, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
• Repair walls, fixtures, furniture, and interior spaces to keep the facility guest-ready.
• Roll up your sleeves for everything from technical repairs to cleaning, minor repairs, and general facility support.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs while minimizing downtime.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to maximize operational uptime while delivering a safe, exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following Merlin operational standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

What You'll Bring:

• 1–2+ years of hands-on maintenance, facilities, or mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with confidence troubleshooting equipment and facility systems.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings, manuals, and schematics; low-voltage experience is a plus.
• A proactive mindset—you spot issues early, solve problems, and take ownership of your work.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and attraction equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teammates and vendors.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights up to 15 feet, and safely perform physical maintenance tasks while following OSHA and Merlin safety standards.
• An understanding that great maintenance supports guest safety, operational reliability, and memorable experiences.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in attractions, theme parks, museums, aquariums, or other themed entertainment venues.
• Exposure to PLCs, automation, show systems, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience supporting new attraction installations, commissioning, or continuous improvement projects.
