Job Description

Job Description:

P&O Coordinator (M/F/X)

Segment : Royal Canin

Location : Aimargues, France - near Montpellier (Occitanie region), with easy access to the Mediterranean coast and major transport hubs.

Type of contract : CDD until end of December 2026 - 3 days a week in the office

Based at our Head Office, the P&O Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. The position ensures HR processes run smoothly and that employees are supported throughout their entire journey with the company — from onboarding to offboarding. Working closely with Line Managers and the HR Business Partner (P&O Business Partners), the role helps translate people priorities into practical actions. This includes supporting HR systems such as Workday, maintaining high data accuracy, and contributing to efficient and reliable HR operations overall.

What are we looking for?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related field, with 2–3 years of experience in an HR admin or coordination role.

  • You are confident using Excel to analyze data, build accurate reports and ensure data quality; strong skills in Word and PowerPoint are expected, and experience with Workday is a plus.

  • You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail and sound judgment in your decision-making.

  • You are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, knowing how to make trade-offs and when to escalate or involve the right stakeholders.

  • You communicate clearly and professionally, building effective relationships with associates, managers and senior leaders.

  • You operate with a strong sense of accountability, knowing when to act independently and when to seek input.

What will be your key responsibilities?

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.

  • Coordinate administrative follow-up for new hires and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Oversee key employee-related processes such as company benefits enrollment (health & disability insurance) and long-service awards.

  • Follow up on open HR actions to ensure timely resolution.

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment administration and hiring follow-up.

HR Data & Reporting

  • Ensure high data accuracy in HR systems, performing regular audits and coordinating corrections when needed.

  • Prepare and update periodic and ad hoc HR reports and analyses.

  • Support local HR processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

HR Business Partner Support

  • Support HR Business Partners in preparing presentations and reporting for key people initiatives (engagement, inclusion & diversity, wellbeing, early talent, etc.).

  • Contribute to HR budget reporting and tracking.

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR processes and tools, helping them use self-service systems effectively.

  • The opportunity to learn and develop, taking charge of your own career across Mars.

  • You will work in a multicultural environment (more than 40 nationalities) and where your dog will be welcomed by more than 100 other Associates’ dogs at the office!

  • You will work in a unique campus, which gathers more than 800 Associates working for: the international HQ, the French subsidiary, two laboratories, a kennel and a cattery with more than 200 cats & dogs, and finally the most important factory of the Royal Canin group
