The Warehouse Manager is accountable for evaluating the performance and implementing new ways of working, routing, equipment, etc., that lead to higher throughput. Will develop and lead strategic initiatives which deliver cost reduction, higher service levels, and greater logistics flexibility and capacity. Will also determine the most cost-effective ways to operate the warehouse without compromising the service level to customers and production lines
o WM will lead all efforts focused on Storage & Handling aimed to improve the following aspects: Service, Security & Quality, Cost and Capacity. o o Service: Will work with Customers Service, Manufacturing & SC Excellence to understand the needs of the customers (internal & external) in terms of service and other KPIs and then will take that understanding into action plans. Security & Quality: In collaboration with Security & Manufacturing will ensure all operations within the factory are in compliance with MARS standards. Will also work with suppliers to make sure they know and understand the internal policies to deliver Raw materials and Packs in compliance with those standards.
Cost: Will work close with S&F BP to understand the LCC cost structure and how Storage & Handling play a primary role in it, will be in charge of creating the operational budget for those lines and follow up its execution to make sure there are no gaps. He will be responsible of anticipating changes in the internal and external variables that could lead to higher cost and will define and execute the activities to avoid that over cost. Capacity: Is responsible to evaluate the Handling Capacity and work closely with Customer Service & Planning to make sure the confirmed capacity can cover our future demand. If there are gaps, should create and execute a plan to avoid any disruptions in service.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related studies.
- Advanced degree highly preferred
- Advanced English
- 3+ years of demonstrated senior management experience leading a department through collaboration with critical suppliers and internal colleagues
- 3+ experience in related areas, such as supply chain, imports/exports and planning.
- Deep understanding of physical logistics management and its’ impact on the company financials.
- Possesses an analytical understanding of the value and impact of information (managing and reporting data effectively)
- Proven experience leading and developing a high performing team
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, problem solving, and time management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish
- Strong customer focus
What will be your key responsibilities?
- 1. Deliver Annual Business results
- Accountable for Storage & Handling financial results for Toluca’s WHS.
- Create & deliver results of VL YoY
- Manage and achieve targeted cost and service KPIs and objectives for the transportation, and
- distribution. This will include contract negotiations, system technologies, process improvements, and organizational changes
- 2. Lead, analyze, and evaluate warehouse improvements that will support business growth
- Creates standard operating procedures within Toluca’s WHS and supervises these procedures are implemented
- Monitors and improves throughput and efficiency
- Digitalize Warehouse Operations
- 3. Orchestrate and implement improvements to Transportation Operations (Do It Best)
- Conducts benchmark of other warehouses (internal & external) to implement best in class procedures
- Provide strategic perspective on long term Warehousing Strategy that supports growth, cost and service
- Ensure LLC improvements in Storage & Handling
- Leadership over the S&OP+ Process
- Ensures Mars Safety guidelines are met in Toluca’s WHS
- Ensures compliance of procedures for Hygiene and Food Safety
- Ensures Mexican and/or International regulatory policies are followed
- 4. Development of team and talent pipeline
- Engage, coach and inspire team with a visible leadership approach
- Develop successor and drive discipline around development plans
- Guide the day to day activities of the team and oversee the implementation of all strategies focuses on Do It Best
