Required Shift:

8 Hour shifts

Shifts are Mon - Fri (7am - 3:30pm) - With possibility of overtime

Pay: From $44 per hour and up based on experience.

Bonus (AVP) - target bonus of 5% of base pay, depending on company performance.

Merit Pay - Increase to base pay once per year based on your performance

Job Purpose:

Currently we are looking for an Industrial Utility technician to join our Bolton-based team. In this full-time position, your responsibilities will include:

The Role:
The Utility Technician (UT below) are system experts in their assigned area, and are highly functional in multiple areas. The UT helps manage the work of the shift technicians. Utilities include compressed air, HVAC units, water, steam & condensate, chillers and cooling towers. The UT ensures efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement in his/her area. The UT manages work for a maintenance area team which is directly responsible for the efficient maintenance of a group of assets to a baseline state. Effectively troubleshoot operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives. Moreover, this position will cover facilities jobs on demand: perform jobs, manage contractors, etc.

We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Associate PM technician to join our Bolton-based team.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of steam boilers, air compressors, HVAC units , etc.
  • Minimum Secondary School diploma and Post Secondary Education in a technical field
  • Recognized trade certificate/license (3rd class power engineer or 4th class power engineer)
  • Safe work practices with equipment, materials, automation, etc.
  • Proven ability to optimize equipment to meet or exceed product specifications, schedule, and planned rates
  • Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, ISO, materials conversion
  • The candidate must have hands on experience and ready to work hard on an average of 6 hours a day hands on.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Responsible for leading all maintenance activities plant in utilities of the plant, flawlessly executing planned maintenance shut downs, leading all area technical continuous improvement and minimizing daily downtime.
  • Leads PM and predictive maintenance programs, line maintenance shutdowns, and run-time preventative maintenance
  • Directly responsible for effective and efficient utilization of all maintenance resources allocated to the area; primary ownership of area maintenance budget
  • Improves current system capability/stability through root cause failure and breakdown analysis
  • Leads small minor capital projects as the technical expert in area and participates in large capital projects including CVS participation to ensure ongoing maintenance needs and integration with existing systems
  • Accountability for parts inventory for area
