  • Perm FT role based onsite Ballart. 4 Shift rotating roster. Base + shift loading

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Team Manager to join our Ballarat Chocolate Factory, home to iconic brands such as Snickers, Maltesers, and M&Ms!

About the Role

As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a production shift team within the factory, overseeing up to 25 shift associates.

This role is integral to ensuring smooth operations and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) across Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment.

You will be supported in this role by a Shift Co-ordinator who will provide the first escalation point for Factory Floor Associates and will be work a 24/7 shift pattern.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead, coach and develop your team to build a high-performing and engaged culture
  • Drive operational excellence by coordinating and prioritising production activities to meet targets and maximise efficiency
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed and role-modelled
  • Ensure strong compliance with GMP and Quality & Food Safety standards
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to solve problems, reduce waste and improve performance
  • Manage shift planning, including rostering, attendance and leave to meet production needs
  • Develop Shift Coordinators, building capability and supporting future succession planning

What we are looking for?

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, engage, and develop a diverse team.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to interpret data, charts, and graphs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, change agility and achieving results.
