What makes Mars different? Our culture. We believe that growth starts with our people. That’s why you’ll get the freedom to develop yourself, share your ideas, and take real responsibility from day one.

About the Internship

You’ll join the Product Availability Team, supporting the Benelux and International Travel Retail (ITR) markets. This small, dynamic team of young professionals ensures that our customers and consumers always find the products they love, right where they expect them. This internship is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations. You’ll learn how short-term (0–12 week) planning really works and play an active role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly every single day.

What You’ll Do

As a full member of the team, you’ll contribute to both day-to-day operations and long-term improvement projects.

Operational tasks:

  • Monitor stock levels and track daily product availability against customer orders

  • Support inventory management by checking stock projections with our external logistics partners (3PLs)

  • Help prepare for Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings

  • Assist with seasonal product (re)launches, from Halloween to Easter campaigns

  • Work with production planners and sales teams to prevent or resolve out-of-stock situations

Project-based work

  • Take the lead on a small-scale Continuous Improvement project, improving our reporting tools, workflows, or communication methods

  • Bring your own ideas to the table, we value fresh perspectives and encourage initiative

By the end of your internship, you’ll have gained experience in supply chain planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, while sharpening your analytical and problem-solving skills.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a motivated, hands-on student with a keen interest in how supply chains operate in a global FMCG company. You like to take initiative, work with others, and see your ideas come to life.

You are:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, and remaining enrolled for the duration of the internship

  • Analytical, proactive, and eager to learn

  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel; Power BI knowledge is a plus

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is an advantage)

  • Available for at least 4 days per week for 6 months

What You Can Expect from Mars

  • A challenging and versatile internship in an international environment

  • The opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, supported by an experienced and approachable team

  • A competitive internship allowance (€800–€900 per 4 weeks) and travel and home-working compensation

  • Guidance and mentorship from experienced supply chain professionals

  • And of course, unlimited access to our chocolate at the office
