The Supply Chain Development Manager plays a strategic role with developing the Operating Master Plan. This role is guided by the Efficiency principle and works collaboratively across all functions within the Canadian Supply Chain unit and supports projects and continuous Improvements that optimized the E2E Supply Chain.
This role champions identifying, analyzing, and implementing new capability within all functions of the Supply Chain. Maximizing value through the supply chain will be accomplished through building and development effective process evaluation and modelling, system integration and process improvements. In this role you will coach stakeholders and team members in collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into conceptual design criteria, add governance, measure, and monitor the effectiveness as needed to realize the design vision that is in harmony with the business strategic goals.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations or related area (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience in Supply Chain (logistics/operations).
- 3+ years’ experience in people leadership.
- Strong leadership skills and comfort presenting to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Expertise in business process and system documentation.
- Experience in Driving Continuous Improvements.
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project Interdependencies.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise.
- Experience with implementing systems.
- Data-driven and business-savvy, able to balance analytical rigor with practical business impact
- Broad knowledge of the End to End Supply Chain.
Certifications (assets):
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- CSCP or CPIM Certification.
- PMP and/or Change Management Certification.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Serves as a Thought Leader on continuous quality improvement.
- Creates business models and roadmaps and assesses capabilities and process gaps between the current and future states.
- Evaluate best in class supply chain technology and infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business, as well as scale for future growth.
- Driving Continuous Improvement culture throughout the Supply Chain
- Provides consultative support on technology initiatives.
- Translates business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Act as a liaison between the functional teams and IT to ensure that the business requirements are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions.
- Drawing on expertise with evolving digital tools and capabilities, you will challenge existing assumptions to create tailored, fully integrated solutions that optimize Supply Chain operations to create powerful competitive advantage.
- Serves as a Project Manager and Change Management agent.
This role is focused on leading implementation of Continuous Improvements, Artifacts and Capabilities as needed. This is a pivotal role which drives both the development of mid-long-term capabilities that support growth and provides tactical governance on the operation.
