Job Description

Job Description:

The Strategy & Business Analytics Manager is the analytical engine and storytelling architect behind Mars Snacking North America’s strategic choices. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and deployment, this role translates complex market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence into compelling executive narratives that drive decision-making.

Acting as a critical connective tissue across the organization, this manager builds robust cross-functional partnerships to ensure Strategic Choices are deployed and shape execution. This includes partnering with the Manager of Strategy & Performance to tie strategic choices directly to financial outcomes, and collaborating with Global Strategy to ensure North American initiatives amplify broader enterprise goals. Success in this role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor, high-level strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without authority.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or commercial analytics.

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, or Retail is highly preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Strong financial acumen and P&L literacy, coupled with deep analytical expertise leveraging syndicated market data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and broader business analytics.

  • Strategic Skills: Exceptional data storytelling capabilities, with proven experience using strategic frameworks to distill complex analyses into clear business choices, alongside a high comfort level navigating ambiguity.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Strategic Storytelling: Architect compelling executive narratives and presentations that distill complex data and rigorous analysis into clear, actionable strategic choices.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Lead the curation of market insights, consumer behavior trends, macroeconomic trends, internal performance, and competitive intelligence to anticipate industry shifts and proactively evolve our North American strategy.

  • Analytical Rigor & Financial Linkage: Structure complex strategy workstreams, partnering cross-functionally to ensure all strategic choices are firmly grounded in long-term financial models, ROI assessments, and resource prioritization.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Facilitate leadership workshops and strategic planning routines to create a feedback loop with business unit leaders, ensuring our strategies rapidly adapt to evolving market conditions.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.

  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.

  • A strong focus on learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.

  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
