Strategic Sourcing Specialist (General Services) - Your new challenge at Mars?

Reporting to our Sourcing Excellence Manager for the Americas region, working within our Mars Global Services division, this Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of cost-effective, service-oriented, timely, and responsive solutions within the General Services category. Although the role has no direct reports, it carries significant influence across internal stakeholders. It involves educating teams on procurement processes, fostering collaboration, and supporting the implementation of sourcing strategies and new business opportunities.

This is a Hybrid position, located in Guararema, São Paulo.

In this exciting job you'll work on...

• Strategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence: Execute end-to-end sourcing strategies for General Services by leveraging market insights, negotiation, and e-procurement tools to optimize pricing, capacity, and service levels.
  

• Supplier Lifecycle & Performance Management: Develop and evaluate the supply base through regular performance reviews, KPI tracking, and collaborative initiatives (e.g., Responsible Sourcing, Supplier Finance) to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  

• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Partnership: Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with key internal stakeholders (including Finance and HR leadership) to deeply understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
  

• Risk Mitigation & Contract Management: Safeguard the business by negotiating and implementing robust contractual frameworks, proactively monitoring supply risks, and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  

• Compliance & Commercial Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, ethical standards, and control systems, managing all commercial and financial aspects of the sourcing process in collaboration with Category Managers.

You?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, preferably within a multinational environment.

• Experience with Services Procurement is a plus.

• Advanced English (both spoken and written), will be tested during the process.

• Solid understanding of local contract law.

• Proficiency in SAP and Ariba systems.
